With Life & Times I have been a
resident performer at Hitchin Folk club since the early 1990s. The club was
voted ‘Best Folk Club’ in the 2005 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards ·
With Life & Times, won the FATEA Tradition 09 award which is
presented to the act that have traditional folk at the root of their sound
and use it to inspire new songs, tunes and arrangements ·
With Life & Times I have
represented Bedfordshire at the EFDSS National Gathering at Cecil Sharp
House. ·
I was formerly with the duo Midas (1977-1980) who were on the bill
of the Silver Jubilee Sidmouth Folk Festival in
1979 ·
I have written a large number of
traditional idiom songs on the subject of Bedfordshire history, customs and
legend. ·
